Rich, buttery Wagyu steak meets a bold, Asian-style peppercorn sauce—this is not just a sandwich, it’s a showstopper.
Method
1. Prep the Steaks:
Bring steaks to room temperature. Season with salt and pepper, and lightly coat with oil.
2. Cook the Steaks:
Heat a pan until very hot. Sear steaks for 2–3 minutes per side (or to your desired doneness). Remove from the pan and let rest.
3. Make the Sauce:
Lower the heat. In the same pan, sauté the diced onion for 2 minutes. Add lots of black pepper, miso, honey, and cream. Simmer for about 2 minutes until thickened and fragrant.
4. Assemble the Sandwich:
- Slice rested Wagyu steak.
- Spread garlic mayo onto toasted ciabatta.
- Layer with rocket, sliced steak, and drizzle over the miso peppercorn sauce.
5. Serve immediately – and prepare to be amazed.
