"I have tried many beef joints in this price bracket for a special occasion centrepiece, with mixed outcomes (I have high standards!). But this black label Argentine whole filet was without question, quite exceptional. Melt-in-the-mouth soft and beautifully flavoured. Outstanding. We used a meat probe and cooked to internal temp of 48 degrees in a fan oven at 100 degrees C. Then seared in a raging hot cast iron skillet until 52C. Then rested uncovered. Result was perfect rare-medium. Will definitely purchase again."
